This lovely little toy piano has been a member of my parent’s home since before i can remember. These days it falls under the jurisdiction of my 4-year old niece, who was ever so kind as to allow me to record it!. It has a fabulous tinkling and out-of-tune carnival sort of sound, and i wanted to capture that before the piano was destroyed altogether. My wife bought me this cool remote control helicopter for my birthday, so i recorded it flying around the room. At the very end, the blades knick the wall a couple times before it falls to the floor and stops. Attribution is not necessary, but if you use it, i'd love to hear what you did with it. I decided to tinker around on an old kid's practice first act piano. There are metal rods inside that are struck, and produce a plink/ringing sound. It is also out of tune, which makes it wonderful for producing an eerie feeling when played in a minor key.

One of a series of heavily processed sounds i made using a small squeeze toy that just happens to be shaped like a cob of corn. I used s-layer, the sample-mangling plugin from twisted tools, to combine these swishy sounds with various other metallic and synthetic sounds from my own library.
